Heading South (10/14-20/2017)

Saturday, October 14, 2017
This is becoming a twice-a-year excursion of driving to see family!
A perfect halfway point is Cousin Mary J's in Mount Juliet, TN
Summer is being extended all over, as the azaleas are in bloom again.
Mary has a wonderful backyard patio

En route to Pensacola, we took a detour in Montgomery, AL to see the house where Kent lived in 1959-1960 as a fifth grader.

We have been staying in the guest room at Azalea Trace and many people, who do not recognize us as family, think we are new residents! Kent's dad gave us some time off from sorting and organizing for a lunch downtown in Pensacola.
We didn't realize McGuire's Irish Pub had a wine cellar! (KSS)
Looks like a pseudo-wine cellar (KSS)
But there is really wine down here!

While housekeeping does the weekly cleaning in Kent's dad's apartment, we worked on a jigsaw puzzle in the Traces Room, and found the family leaf on The Giving Tree.

We left Pensacola and headed east to Santa Rosa Beach and Grayton Beach for the Lindsey-Mike wedding. Friends of the family in the neighborhood offered housing to guests.
